When you see it, it’s truly spectacular. The tarpon that migrate to South Carolina range in size from 50 to 150 pounds.
If you are looking for your best chance to catch a tarpon, you are going to want to set up a trip between June and October.
Can you catch one on a half day charter? …anything is possible; however, we recommend giving yourself plenty of time. If you really want to catch a tarpon, we recommend planning a full day from your vacation in Myrtle Beach fishing.
Like any fish or game, the less pressure they get…the better your chances are of catching a tarpon.You won’t see many guides sharing photos on social media while they’re biting; you’re just going to have to call us to go!
